Yoga Sangraha
‘Sangraha’ means collection or compendium. While not a new form of yoga, it is a contemporary approach, developed by Eddie Stern of Broome Street Temple in New York, that takes elements from many different lineages and modalities and groups them in such a way as to create a practice that is relatively light but can be increased in intensity where time, energy and capacity are available.

There are 10 types of sun salutation, some of which are new, plus dands and baitaks which are from the Hindu wrestling tradition of Kushti. In this tradition, they are a fundamental exercise in the vyayam (training) regimen, performed rhythmically and in high repetition. These are now commonly found in modern calisthenics classes, appearing as a combination between sun salutation and pushup.
Other asanas are grouped into Standing/Seated/Prone and Supine.
Students will also learn Kriya and Pranayama(breathwork).
Classes can be separated into 3 types:
1/Yoga Sangraha Level 1 (or 2)
2/Sun Salutations Class (practice 6 types plus dands)
3/
Yoga and Strength (incorporating body strength and core work)
Its a complete, rounded practice that can be integrated into other yoga classes, or learnt and practiced at home.
