Sun Salutation Type 1

This is the first sun salutation in Yoga Sangraha. Eases the body into practice.

  1. Inhale - Raise the arms over the head, palms together look up.

  2. Exhale - Take arms out to the sides as you fold half-way(Ardha Uttanasana) , pointing fingers back.

  3. Inhale - Bend knees to come to squat on finger tips.

  4. Exhale - step or jump back to Downward dog - breath there 5 times from belly.

  5. Inhale - step or jump back to squat

  6. Exhale - straighten legs to return to halfway - Ardha Uttanasana.

  7. Inhale - take arms over head - look up.

  8. Exhale - Return to Samastithi (even standing)
