<image:title>Amit K Singh - Yoga is for everyone, and my classes are aimed at providing practical tools that students can pick up and use for a lifetime. Simple yoga practices for health, calm and longevity. I teach Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Meditation and Pranayama(breathwork) from complete beginners up to advanced students with experience looking for a fresh perspective on their yoga practice. I trained at the KPJAYI and SYC ashtanga institutes in Mysore, India with the late Sharath Jois between 2011 and 2023, getting authorization to teach the traditional method in 2017. Since 2021 I have been continuing my training in Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama and Yoga Sangraha under Eddie Stern and Robert Moses of the Yoga Education College. I continue to work daily with the Advanced A Series of Ashtanga yoga with my teacher Corrie Ananda Preece who I also assist as part of the the Mysore Yoga London community, based @missionE1 in London. <image:title>More - Yoga Sangraha ‘Sangraha’ means collection or compendium. While not a new form of yoga, it is a contemporary approach, developed by Eddie Stern of Broome Street Temple in New York, that takes elements from many different lineages and modalities and groups them in such a way as to create a practice that is relatively light but can be increased in intensity where time, energy and capacity are available. —————————————————————————- There are 10 types of sun salutation, some of which are new, plus dands and baitaks which are from the Hindu wrestling tradition of Kushti. In this tradition, they are a fundamental exercise in the vyayam (training) regimen, performed rhythmically and in high repetition. These are now commonly found in modern calisthenics classes, appearing as a combination between sun salutation and pushup. Other asanas are grouped into Standing/Seated/Prone and Supine. Students will also learn Kriya and Pranayama(breathwork). Classes can be separated into 3 types: 1/Yoga Sangraha Level 1 (or 2) 2/Sun Salutations Class (practice 6 types plus dands) 3/ Yoga and Strength (incorporating body strength and core work) Its a complete, rounded practice that can be integrated into other yoga classes, or learnt and practiced at home.</image:title>
